Special Terms for the “Travel Talk” Service
1.1. “Travel Talk” is a digital communication service provided by Book@Friends FZ-LLC, offering travelers assistance with language barriers in everyday situations.
1.2. Assistance is provided by staff via the messaging service WhatsApp, either through text messages or WhatsApp calls.
1.3. The service is intended solely as communication support for simple language barriers, for example in situations such as:
1.4. Travel Talk SOS does not constitute a professional translation or interpreting service and does not replace a professional language interpreter.
1.5. Book@Friends does not guarantee any specific outcome or problem resolution, but solely the provision of communication assistance.
2.1. The service is available within the service hours described in the respective product.
2.2. Book@Friends will make reasonable efforts to respond to incoming requests as quickly as possible. However, no guaranteed response time or immediate assistance is owed.
2.3. During periods of high demand, technical issues, or outside the service hours, delays or non-processing of individual requests may occur.
2.4. The functionality of the service depends on external providers (in particular WhatsApp/Meta, internet providers and mobile networks). Book@Friends assumes no liability for outages or disruptions of these services.
3.1. Use of the service requires:

3.3. The user agrees to use the service only for its intended purpose and to communicate respectfully with the staff.
3.4. In the event of misuse of the service, including but not limited to:
Book@Friends reserves the right to immediately block access to the service without any entitlement to a refund.
4.1. The service is valid only for the phone number registered at the time of purchase.
4.2. Sharing the service phone number or allowing use by unregistered third parties is not permitted.
4.3. Book@Friends reserves the right not to respond to requests from phone numbers that are not registered.
4.4. In cases of suspected sharing or misuse, Book@Friends may restrict or terminate access to the service.
5.1. Use of the communication assistance is at the user’s own responsibility.
5.2. Book@Friends shall not be liable for misunderstandings or misinterpretations arising from the language assistance unless caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
5.3. Book@Friends assumes no liability for any agreements, contracts or decisions made by the user with third parties (e.g. hotels, restaurants, taxi drivers or service providers) based on the communication assistance provided.
5.4. The service does not replace professional advice, particularly in the following areas:
5.5. Travel Talk SOS is not an emergency or rescue service. In medical or safety emergencies, users must contact the appropriate local emergency services.
6.1. Communication takes place via the external service WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Inc.).
6.2. The user acknowledges and agrees that communication occurs through this service and that data may therefore be processed by WhatsApp.
6.3. Book@Friends processes personal data solely for the purpose of providing the service and in accordance with the applicable privacy policy.
7.1. The duration of the service depends on the purchased package (e.g. short-trip package or annual package).
7.2. After the respective period expires, access to the service ends automatically unless a new package is purchased.
8.1. Travel Talk SOS is a digital service.
8.2. The user expressly agrees that the execution of the service begins immediately after purchase.
8.3. Once the service has begun or access has been activated, the statutory right of withdrawal may expire prematurely if the user has expressly consented to this.
9.1. By completing the booking, the user confirms that the service is made available immediately.
9.2. Payments relate to the provision of the digital communication service and not to a guaranteed solution to a specific problem.
9.3. In the event of payment disputes or chargebacks, Book@Friends is entitled to submit all relevant communication records and booking data as evidence of the provided service.
