A trip to the 4th biggest Island in the world is in search of exotic wildlife, discovering the contrasting and spectacular cultures Landscape. With 80 percent of its species found nowhere else on earth, including birds, chameleons a lemurs, Madagascar is a wildlife lover's dream.
This original itinerary offers an authentic vision of this region of the island. Amazing landscapes, trekking in the wilderness parks, fauna and flora will be added to the sun and the beach during the tour.
Day 1: Antananarivo Meet and greet by our team at the international airport of Antananarivo and transfer at your hotel.
Overnight at Niaouly
Day 2: Antananarivo – Miandrivazo After an Early breakfast, head to Miandrivazo via Antsirabe, a thermal city located at 170 km from the capital. On the way, panoramic view on the rice terraces and also the tombs of the tombs of the highlands of Madagascar. On arrival in Antsirabe, a short city tour and continuation to Miandrivazo.
According to a legend, the name "Miandrivazo" comes from a declaration of King Radama I during a campaign against the Sakalava kingdom. He had agreed to marry the daughter of the king of Menabe Ramitraho and had announced that he was "waiting for his wife", "miandry vazo" in Malagasy language. The calm and serenity of Miandrivazo makes it a popular stop for travellers.

Day 3: Miandrivazo- Morondava Breakfast at the hotel and depart to Morondava passing through various villages and rice fields along the way. Then starting there you will find that Baobabs are all along the road. Arriving in Morondava and check in at the hotel.

Day 4: Morondava – Bekopaka
After breakfast, head to Bekopaka, the dusty track weaves its way through the dry forests of western Madagascar, scattered with baobabs. Many villages, markets, and people crossed, the meetings are numerous and the interaction and the exchanges are intense.
Almost at the end of a morning of trip, arrived in Tsimafana, the place of boarding to take the first ferry and discover this opulent territory of the Tsiribihina river, a trip that has been punctuated by groups of birds.
Arrive at Belo sur Mer, and continuation to Bekopaka.
To reach the entrance of Bekopaka, embark on the second ferry across the Manambolo River. The beauty of the landscape is so breathtaking that it would be able to hold you longer on this river. High steep cliffs surround you, this captivating discovery, these imposing landscapes and this so particular feeling to walk on the immensity are worth the diversions alone.
Arriving in Bekopaka at the end of the day, at the foothill of the Tsingy of Bemaraha Massif, classified as UNESCO Natural Heritage.
Overnight at Orchidée de Bemaraha
Day 5: The small Tsingy – Manambolo Canyon Breakfast and ahead to discover the small Tsingy. Before starting the visit of the Small Tsingy, a traditional canoe trip alongside the Manambolo River will be organized.
Along the riverbanks of Manambolo, the "small" tsingy of Bekopaka represents a real refuge for hundreds of endemic species of the region. In particular, 53 species of birds and 6 varieties of lemurs live together on this territory, including the rare Decken's sifaka, easily recognizable by its silky white fur, and a number of other species.
Reptiles and other mammals are also present, such as the very small chameleon Brookesia Perarmata, whose back-spines bear a curious similarity to the surrounding rocky peaks. The vegetation is not to be overlooked. In the few areas of land trapped between the reefs nest variety of colored baobabs and flamboyant trees. These greenery and biodiversity oases contrast sharply with the monotonous grey of the surrounding limestone.

Day 6: The Large Tsingy Breakfast and ahead to discover the small Tsingy.
The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is a wonderful masterpiece of nature. The Tsingy of Bemaraha are integrated in the integral natural reserve of the Bemaraha National Park. Covering an area of 152,000 hectares, this magnificent site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. To the landscape of Tsingy of different shapes where lemurs, terrestrial and aquatic birds, bats, amphibians, reptiles, endemic mammals and a flora and a flora of more than 650 species of plants are recorded.
Overnight at Orchidée de Bemaraha
Day 7: Bekopaka- Morondava After breakfast, you will be driven back to Morondava via Tsimafana. On the middle of the way, visit the Kirindy forest reserve.
With a considerable rate of endemicity, the Kirindy forest is a unique treasure in the west of Madagascar and a relic of the primary dry forest
This reserve is a real place to be discovered by naturalists, botanists or wildlife lovers. It is the refuge of a much diversified diurnal and nocturnal fauna. In fact, there are 8 species of lemurs, 6 of which are nocturnal, 68 species of birds, 6 of which are endangered, 43 taxa of reptiles, including a crocodile, 2 species of turtles, 23 lizards and 17 species of snakes, as well as 86 species of ants.
After the visit, continue to the sacred baobab, the baobab in love and then finish at the famous Baobabs Avenue and attend the sunset which is both a very moving and breathtaking sight.

Day 8: Morondava- Belo-sur-Mer After breakfast, depart to Belo-sur-Mer via a sandy trail.
Located at the South of Morondava, Belo sur Mer is only reachable by land apart from during the wet season, which extends from November to April. The peninsula of Belo –sur-Mer exhibits a shore where rocks and sandy beaches are alternating, offering with the sea, which takes on all the colors from deep blue to translucent green, contrasting the sea, which takes on all the colors from deep blue to translucent green.
Overnight at Ecolodge de Menabelo
Day 9: Kirindy Mitea Park Breakfast and depart to visit the Kirindy Mitea National Park, and the Kirindy Mitea sand Dune.
During this expedition, you will discover a succession of vegetation diversity: the dense dry forest well-known for its baobabs (one of the most important vegetation: the thorny vegetation. You will have also the opportunity to encounter the diurnal lemurs. They are the most famous and the most emblematic of Madagascar. They measure about 40 cm and you will be able to recognize them by their tail ringed with white and black.
Then, visit the Kirindy mitea Sand dune: Once you have climbed to the top of the sand dune, a breathtaking spectacle will be in front of you: baobab forest, lakes occupied by pink flamingos when in season. . You ca then take the the 1.5 km trail through the dry forest that circulates around the splendid baobab trees, known as the "habitat of the giants". You can then continue your journey along the sacred lake populated by pink flamingos, lesser flamingos and teal and Bernier's teal.
Overnight at Ecolodge de Menabelo
Day 10: Belo-Sur-Mer- Manja After the morning breakfast, we leave Belo-sur-mer to Manja by a sandy trail, crossing the river of Bevoay, Kabatomena, Lapoly and Maharivo by ferry about 30mn.
Overnight at Manja Day 11: Manja- Morombe After the morning breakfast, head to Morombe.
Overnight at Auberge chez Laurette
Day 12: Morombe – Andavadoaka After breakfast, head to Andavadoaka and on the way a brief stop to discover the oldest baobab tree in the world.
Located near a village, some scientists estimate the age of this sacred tree to be around 1 500 years old. The small village of Andavadoaka (means the "pierced rock"), is settled in a superb bay whose isolated creeks are suitable for snorkelling and the bottoms for fish are a delight for fishermen and divers.
Overnight at Coco Beach
Day 13: Andavadoaka – Ifaty After breakfast, head to Ifaty. You will discover an exceptionally beautiful blue sea and cross the forest of the "mikea" tribe, a people still living in the deepest ancestral traditions.
Overnight at Bamboo club
Day 14: Ifaty –Tulear - Ranohira After breakfast, head to Ranohira, via Tuléar.
First stop at The Ambondronala Mangrove.
Located at halfway between Tuléar and Ifaty, the The Ambondronala Mangrove, also called Honko reserve is an important ecological mangrove reserve. There are 7 mangrove species and 35 rare bird species to see.
Second Stop at Zombitse vohibasia Park.
The Zombitse Vohibasia complex is famous for its richness in rare bird species, endemic to Madagascar and/or the region. The Park is part of the World Bank 1992 Endemic Bird Zone N° 093. It also includes 08 lemur species, some of which are almost threatened like the case of the Phaner furcifer pallescens. Due to its rich biodiversity, Zombitse Vohibasia National Park is a top research area.

Day 15- Isalo National Park After breakfast, transfer to the entrance of the Isalo National Park to discover its fauna and flora.
The Isalo National Terrestrial Park is a unique ecological representation within the Madagascar National Parks network: a ruin form massif of continental sandstone dating from the Jurassic with its typical geomorphology and endemic rock vegetation (Aloes, Euphorbias, Pachypodes, Kalanchoe, etc.) and the specific fauna of this exceptional habitat (rock reptiles, the vast majority of which are endemic).
Overnight at H1 Hotel
Day 16: Ranohira – Andringitra –Tsaranoro Valley After breakfast, depart to Tsaranoro Valley.
The Tsaranoro valley is an outstanding sightseeing area. The Tsaranoro massif is especially an adequate site to do hiking and to improve your climbing skills. The rocks of Tsaranoro are among the most difficult in the world. This 800-meter granite block that stands at the base of the valley has become a challenge for climbers from all over the world.
Overnight at Tsarasoa
Day 17: A great guided walking tour of Tsaranoro (6h/8h Round trip Trekking) After breakfast, depart to the great tour of Tsaranoro.
The great tour of Tsaranoro leads at the foothills of the fabulous 800m walls before bypassing the massif by the South, crossing in back of it, then joining the top of Karambony and going down again straight the North on an air ridge and at the border of the hollow. Extraordinary hike, to which we can add a climbing of Tsaranoro (1950m) by the normal way on the path.

Overnight at Tsarasoa
Day 18: Andringitra – Ranomafana After breakfast, head to Ranomafana .On the way, stop to visit the Anja reserve.
Anja Reserve proposes several visits ranging from 30 minutes to several hours. But whatever the visit you will choose, the meeting with the famous Maki or Lemur catta is always guaranteed. Indeed, this symbolic animal of Madagascar is particularly abundant in this zone. It is besides the only species of diurnal primate living in this reserve.
Arrive in Ranomafana, check in at your Hotel
A nocturnal walk will be organized for a sighting of a species of night lemur (microcebus), then a camel/frog sighting etc...
Overnight at Ny Tanana.
Day 19: Ranomafana -Ambositra After breakfast, visit the Ranomafana National Park.
Classified Terrestrial National Park World Heritage Site with its dense rainforest at low altitude (600-800 m), its dense rainforest at medium altitude (800-1400m), its bamboo forest, its marsh; plant and animal species such as Pandanus, Varecia variegata variegate, Ecrevisses, Limnogale Mergulus choose the wildlife area as habitat. The park is home of several species of lemurs, insects, birds and endemic plants. Visiting the park is an unmissable visit. In fact, it will introduce you to a unique fauna composed of rare species unfortunately threatened. For those who like nature and wildlife, you won't be disappointed: many birds, butterflies, bats and lemurs live in these forests. You will also find unique plant species that grow only in this park: Diverse medicinal plants as well as a variety of orchids and carnivorous plants that litter the soil and trees.
After the visit, continuation to Ambositra

Day 20: Ambositra –Antananarivo After breakfast, head to Antananarivo via Antsirabe a famous thermal town, also called ‘’ Malagasy Vichy». A brief city tour and continuation to Antananarivo Overnight at Niaouly
Day 21: Antananarivo Breakfast at the hotel, Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight Before reaching the airport, a short stop at the handcraft market for travel memories.
