8 Days Tour : Explore The Unknown Of Senegal : have a Safari game drive and Safari with the lions

Tour Overview :

In this unique ,let's explore Goree island ,where millions of Blacks people were enslaved . We will see also its Slaves House .More I will show you Dakar's highlights and its monument of the African Renaissance .

You will also have a Safari Game Drive in special four wheel drive to see the African wild in their natural habitat in Bandia Animals Reserve .

I will also take you to have a Safari with the lions .

Have a boat ride ,to discover third largest birds park : the Djoudj ,famous for being home of the white pelican .

Also have a boat ride on the Saloum river . Then explore Fadiouth or the Shells Island ,a shell made island ,with a mixed cemetery where Catholics and Muslims are buried .

Cherry on the cake ,discover MBour fishing harbour and MBour Central Market . But visit also a traditional village ,to have immersion in local culture .

Itinerary

Day1 : arrival ,welcome transfer to hotel in MBour .

Pension regime : Bed and breakfast

Day 2 : exploration of Dakar and Goree island

Leave for Dakar ,we will see the highlights among which the monument of the African Renaissance . Then we will board in the ferry for Goree island . Upon arrival ,visit of the Slaves House and the rest of the world heritage . Lunch in a sea view restaurant and continuation at the Pink Lake . Upon arrival ,we explore the Pink Lake and the salt harvesters . Then ,we will embark in a four drive to drive on the sand dunes and beach ..Overnight at Chez Salim

Day 3 : Saint Louis horse cart tour and exploration of the fishfolks village .

Leave for Saint Louis ,the former French city in West Africa ,crossing the country seeing Baobab forest and beautiful typical village . Upon arrival ,lunch in local restaurant to try local meal . Then we will have a horse cart tour to explore the colonial city and the fish folks . Dinner and overnight at hotel Cap Saint Louis or Similar

Day 4 : Discovery Of Djoudj Birds Park

We go northwards near the Mauritanian border . The scenery changes since ,we are near the Sahara desert and we are in semi arid area . Upon arrival ,we will have a boat ride to explore the Djoudj and see the pelicans at the nursery . We will see also a great diversity of birds : African jacana ,African darter ,African fish eagle and so on . Here we will see also sublime scenes of hundreds of pelican flying and fishing together . Lunch in Saint Louis . And back to hotel : Dinner and overnight at Hotel Cap Saint Louis or similar

Day 5 : Saloum Delta or Senegalese Amazonia

En route for Saloum Delta or The Senegalese Amazonia . We will cross again the country for Bandia Animals Reserve . Lunch in Bandia sublime restaurant near the crocodiles ,wild and monkeys .

Then we will embark in a special four wheel drive with roof ,but opened on the sides to have a Safari game in Bandia Animals Reserve . In Bandia ,we will be in 3500 hectares with 60 kilometers to cover looking for the most emblematic African animals : giraffe ,rhino ,buffaloes ,zebras ,derby and cap eland and so on …. You will also a lot of beautiful birds : African red billed hornbill ,Abyssinian roller …. Dinner and overnight at Ecolodge de Simal or Cordon Bleu

Day 6 : Boat ride on the Saloum river and discovery of the Shells island

After a delicious breakfast near the Saloum ,you will go for a boat ride to discover the Saloum Delta ,its mangrove and birds . On the way ,back ,you can enjoy the river ,using the canoe kayak or the pool . After lunch we will leave for Fadiouth or the Shells Island . Fadiouth is a shells made island . Upon arrival ,we will take a wooden bridge to visit the Catholics church ,the holy baobab tree ,the granaries on piles ,the mixed cemetery ,where Catholics and Muslims are buried . Then you will board on a gondol like boat to join the main land . But before ,you visit a Serer village . There you will be initiated to some of their daily activities : pounding millet . and continuation to MBour .Dinner and overnight at NDaali Hotel in MBour ( ndaali is small hotel near the beach )

Day 7 : Safari with the lions and discovery of MBour Central Market and Fishing harbour.

We leave at 07:30 for the Safari with the lions . Upon arrival ,we will embark in an iron-fenced protected four wheel drive for an half hour safari . You can even see them on the roof of the vehicle . This is something to experience . Sure you will love it .

Then we head to MBour to explore its fishing harbour and central market ,to attend the arrival of the fish folks ,the fish auction and all that turns around the fishes . Lunch at NDaali and the afternoon ,enjoy the beach .Dinner and overnight at NDaali hotel .

Day 8 : Relax on the beach and transfer to airport according to fly hours .
